My First Entry

posted on 18 Sep, 2005

Well, this is my first entry, and really it's just a hello and welcome. So, first of all hello and welcome to Seraph Designs & Web Services. As I write this the site is pretty much complete - the Terms Of Service need a little bit of work but, that aside, the backend is all good. We don't have much though - we have 9 templates, about 10 sites in my portfolio (only about 6-7 of which are even half decent, a couple of them are really good) and I'm working on more content to come.

Now let me take this chance to explain exactly what this article section is for. I'm gonna use this as a stage to write down my rants, complaints and obervations in the meager hope that somebody might read them. It's my first ever emo blog! That's not all though, so don't fear - I'll also be submitting the occasional article related to web design & programming, or anything else that I fell is important and related. I will also, from time to time, be posting a few tutorials for various programming and markup languages. Remember, this is not a tutorial site so if you come here hoping to learn how to be a "1337 h4ck3r" you're going to be disappointed.

So, what's new? Well on Monday (6 days ago) I started 6th form doing AS Physics, Maths and English Lit, along with a CISCO Systems course. The Physics and English are boring, like I thought they would be, but the maths is better. I always preferred maths as the answer is always straight - you're either right or wrong, and there's a logical process to obtaining the answer. CISCO is awesome. Today I've been doing some research for homework, learning all about IPv6. It's quite interesting stuff, and one day in the future it may come into practical use.

At 6th form the workload is very heavy. When I have school holidays I will try to churn out more junk than usual for Seraph Designs & Web Services. In the 6-week summer holidays, especially, I will be hoping to get alot done.

Well... I think that's enoughfrom me for now. I hope you didn't die while reading this article, but other thanthat I don't care.
